MBBS course duration and curriculum in China

Chinese medical universities has attracted many international candidates due to its fascinating course curriculum, fees structure, certified degree and global recognition. The Ministry of Education, china has released the list of 45 approved universities which offer undergraduate courses to international student in English medium. These Universities are also approved by the MCI and WHO.

Course duration

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery is completely 6 years course including one year of internship in China. To provide detailed information and clinical skills, course is divided into two parts; Classroom studies and internship.

Furthermore, classroom studies is also divide into two parts informative studies and clinical studies. After completing 5 years of classroom studies, it is compulsory to finish 1 year internship to get real time experience with local patients and hand on experience.

During practical training students will fully focus on hospital training session with senior and professionals. It will provide you a complete exposure on clinical skills like, how to deal with patients, how to diagnose and provide treatment, etc.

Curriculum


The course curriculum of MBBS is structured in accordance with European Standard and sub-divided into many parts. Like, from starting it was divided into two parts; Classroom studies and practical training. After that entire course of nine semesters is divided into two parts.

4 semesters is dedicated for basic human structure and integrated teaching containing subjects Anatomy, physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry and community Medicine. And last five semester are devoted to clinical studies which comprises Medicine pediatrics, surgery, Radiology, anesthesiology, orthopedics, toxicology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Skin and VD, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Emergency medicine and forensic medicine.
1st Semester- Physiology, Anatomy, Chinses language and basic computer skills.
2nd Semester- Anatomy, Chinese language, Physiology and biochemistry.
There shall be an examination after two semester and qualified students will followed the further syllabus.

3rd Semester- Pathology and Pharmacology.

4th Semester- Pharmacology, pathology, microbiology and community medicine.
At the end of forth semester, students have to undergoes for an examination on above mention subjects and wouldn’t promoted to clinical training unless the qualification of all subjects successfully. After that students were taken to the filed visit for one month and which will continues with clinical studies.

After finishing clinical studies successfully all international students have to appear and qualify HSK examination. It is a chinses proficiency test ensure your flow in Chinese language. After completing internship you will be awarded by the MD degree equivalent to MBBS in India.

Disadvantage of MBBS in Abroad

It is the dream of thousands of students to become a doctor. Particularly   in India, where the number of MBBS scholars is enormous but there are very fewer number of seats. There is a big lack of doctors in our country. Everyone knows that the possible to earn is huge after doing MBBS in Abroad or from India. Therefore huge number of scholars appear for various MBBS entrance exams every year, while some of them try 4-5 years but still do not get admission where they want.
